Suggest Treatment For Painful Cramps In The Knee While Having Arthritis

I have arthristis, Yesterday, I was walking fine into Walgreen to pick-up medicine. Upon leaving my knee cramp up and could not put pressure on it. It is still aching (as in dull inside pain). I can walk now but it aches. Have taken 1300 mg of Tylenol this morning. Can I take or do anything else to ease the misery?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I can truly understand your concern. Arthritis pain could be really bad. I advise the following
- Analgesic ointment followed by local heat application
- You could try off-loading the affected knee by using a cane
- You could also try orthotic knee cap

Hope this helps. Take care.
