Suggest Treatment For Painful Facial Swelling

My Girlfriend has symptoms of feeling painful facial swelling, with some being visible in cheeks under eyes, burning and swelling of eyes, a constant whistle sound in ears, weakness, and slight nausea. Feelings of lethargy. She has not had any exposure to the sun or heat, no known exposure to chemicals or allergic substances, non smoker, no drugs or illegal substances. No known insect bites or plant exposure. Has taken Tylenol and Diurex after symptoms persisted, 20mg Melatonin approx. 16 hours ago for sleep, taken daily. Suggestions please?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your girlfriend seem to be related to an allergic reaction. I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. If she doesn't get better,I suggest using steroid injections to treat the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
