Suggest Treatment For Painful Folliculitis

I have been diagnosed with folicutits and it has been two weeks. Have been on oral antibiotics and external creams. Seems to be improving I now have scabs and very sore,sensisitive and painful skin. What can I use to ease this discomfort? Both inside and outsidelegs, buttocks, and public area. I am a avid cyclist and need to knock this discomfort out so I can ride/

Thank you for asking on HCM.

I really understand your concern. Practice good hygiene, because you are sweating a lot during cycling, don't wear tight underwear or paints, wear air-conditioned underwear and that absorbes the sweat. You may clean this are with boric acid solution, to help prevention of infection. For the sore and very sensitive you may try over-the-counter emollients locally.
