Suggest Treatment For Painful Growing Cyst On Back

I have had a cyst on my back for at least 8 years. It has never caused any pain or anything. I asked my doctor if he could remove it, and he said that he could, however, it would probably grow back. No problem, I will leave it. Maybe 3 weeks ago it started growing and has become painful. It looked like it was coming to a head, so, my girlfriend squeezed it. Green liquid came out. Not a lot but the cyst shrunk a bit. I have had smaller ones come to a head and white stinky puss easily came out. Should I be concerned because of the pain and green liquid?
Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, cystic swelling occurred anywhere in body can be removed surgically under local anesthesia, if its removed through its base means all septae are also destroyed then chances of recurrence would be very rare.u must undergo excision its just few minutes minor OT procedure.
