Suggest Treatment For Painful Hemorrhoids

I just had a thrombosed hemorrhoid lanced this morning and the pain has dramatically increased compared to how I was feeling prior to the procedure. What can I do to help this pain? doctor told me to not use any creams or ointments, gave no prescription or suggestions. The doctor said I should have a lot of relief but after cleaning up after BM I still have a thrombosed hemorrhoid? Why? Why is it not gone? did it come back? Is that why it hurts so much?

Hi,

It is possible that it is not completely resolved, you may need to be reassessed. In terms of pain management, it would be best to avoid medications such as ibuprofen, naproxen, celebrex or cataflam etc since these medicines can sometime worsen bleeding. Paracetamol/tylenol can be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
