Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful lump between wrist and pointing finger . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like giant cell tumour , lipoma , fibroma , neuroma , various and localize infection . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses to your hand , give your hand proper rest and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Consult general surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor will examine physically by checking tenderness and consistency along with x-ray and CT scan . Doctor may give cut under local anesthesia to drain it , prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory or doctor may remove it surgically if necessary .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
