Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump In The Throat

Hi, for approx five days I have had an awful feeling in my throat. It feels like the lump you get when you are about to vomit but I have not vomitted but it almost seems that if I did it would make me feel better. Also, for three weeks my breasts have been very tender and I just got my period today. Zero chance of pregnancy.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would recommend you to take Ibuprofen and try to avoid very hot or very cold drinks or food.
If the symptoms last for more than 10 days or you notice any worsening or you have any fever, you will need to have your throat checked to rule out bacterial tonsillitis and the need for antibiotics.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
