Hi there,
I have come across many head injury patient in the ER that I work.
Now as you have told, following the injury you had developed black eye and went to see the doctor next day. Right?
Now I Think, mostly you will be feeling okay apart from black eye and headache. But I will personally suggest you to undergo an CT scan brain. Which will help ER Physician to role out any serious injury and any fracture of the bone.
If the CT scan brain turns out to normal, then you have nothing to worry about and you can take some rest.
As for as Black eye is concerned, If you are able to see and move the eye in all four directions without any difficulties, Then you can skip the eye doctors appointment.
Thank you,
Hope your have a speedy recovery.
