Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was sleepwalking two nights ago and fell. I hit the back of my head. There's a 1/2 egg sized lump there, and it's still tender. My worry is that the left side of my skull has been numb since the fall. Should I see a doctor about this? I have severe chronic daily migraines, so I've had CT and MRI scans recently.
hello... i'm Dr. Charles... I'll be able to help you... yes you should go and see the doctor and take a CT scan to rule out any bony fractures.. reason is... you had fallen 2 days back and youhave no history of loss of conciousness, ENT bleed, vomitting and seizure.... and you didnt have any guidiness for the past two days oso.... so based on the fact that you were abaolutely normal for the past 2 days, i can rule out any internal damage to the brain... but for the lump... its more of a haematoma collection.... i would suggest you to see the doctor and place an ice pack and he will give a few medicines immediately... or else the haematoma can organise itself to form an abcess in the near future.... for which we will then operate to evacuvate the pus... so do see a doctor preferably a general surgeon or a neuro physician ... hope my information was helpful.... thank you
