Hello and welcome to HCM, A lump in chest wall associated with chest pain can occur in number of conditions. The lump could be due to soft tissue swelling, bony swelling, lymph node enlargement, metastatic lesion etc. Pain associated with lump is suggestive of chest wall lesion rather that lung lesion. However, a clinical assessment and X-ray chest is required to rule out involvement of underlying lung. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and further work up.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
