Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump On The Face Of A Child
My daughter has a small lump (about size of pea) under the skin on the right side of her face. I believe they call it preauricular. Anyway....she had an ultrasound today and after the tech had radiologist come in and he scanned more. They told me it was not a cyst. Looked like either a blood clot that calcified or could be some tumor. Possibly of hair follicle. I don t know. After he said tumor I froze. He said no way to really tell unless it is removed. I need to speak to her ENT to find out if she wants to watch it or have removed. This started like two months ago. We thought she had a bug bite. It was swollen and she was scratching it. We noticed it wasn t going away and it didn t seem to bother her. I mentioned it at her well child check up and was sent to ENT. I am so upset about this. It s the weekend now so I won t get any answers.
hi..first of all do not fear the word TUMOR..it means ONLY MASS.. as your radiologist say its a mass..take ENT openion first.. then ask for biopsy examination if possible.. after biopsy report we can manage patient to go for surgery or not.. so not to worry..
