Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I seem to suddenly have painful lumps inside my tongue. When I feel them with my finger and thumb, it feels like there is a BB sized round ball inside on the right and on the left, although the left one is more forward and feels a little bit like a canker sore. Any thoughts?
As per your query you have painpul lumps on your tongue . The symptoms you mention in query are probably due to condition known as inflammation of taste buds . There can be many reasons for inflammation of taste bud like physical injury , chemical injury lfrom acidic and hot food , vitamin deficinecy and allergic reaction . I would suggest you to suck ice cube 2-3 times a day , do warm saline rinses twice a day and avoid hot and spicy food . If condition doesn't get well in a well then consult oral pathologist for proper examination and rule out condition like canker sore . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin) along with anti inflammatory .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
