My question is about my husband. He has chirrosis of the liver final stages. He has had fluid drained from his stomach area 3 times since april of this year. W live in Southaven Mississippi if anyone can tell me someone a gi doctor that can help please let me know
The painful muscle cramps and spasm are in concern with multiple underlying issues as: - Low hemoglobin - Lack of proteins (synthesized by liver) - Electrolyte imbalance as that of sodium, potassium and others - Metabolic issues as lactic acidosis - Raised blood urea nitrogen affecting muscle functioning
Still I would like to address further issues of your interest as per your need according to the time period.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
