Suggest Treatment For Painful Periods And Bulky Uterus?

my wife aged 45 yrs is suffering from painful periods with heavy bleeding. USG abdomen & pelvis: normal and ultra sound trans vaginal scan shows MILDLY BULKY UTERUS. Gynaecologist advised for Thermal balloon ablation or TAH. Kindly suggest whether to go for surgery or any other treatment/medication is available
