Suggest Treatment For Painful Skin Lesions On Inner Lower Thigh

My internal medicine Dr. Saw me a week ago and said I have shingles and strept throat. I have been on antiviral mess and amoxicillin for throat. I have a horned skin lesion on my inner lower thigh that is extremely painful. Earliest appointment I can get with a Dermatoligist is December. It seems to be growing and very sore if my clothing touches or I accidentally brush against. What can I do to treat until Dermatologist can see me?

I would suggest to wear roomier pants.hot or cold fomentation whichever soothes it and apply vaseline soaked dressing.over the counter soothing agents such as calamine lotion can also be applied if available.analgesic creams will also help until u see ur dermatologist
