Suggest Treatment For Painful Sore Back And Burning Sensation

I have been taking 20mls cortisone a day for two weeks for severe pain saw a rheumatologist yesterday who said that cortisone wasn t the drug I should be taking and told me to stop taking wait a week and have a blood test and see him a week later. I am to have a bone density scan and thoracic scan in the meantime. I am pain and my back is painful to touch. A burning sensation which is not new as this is the pain I ve suffered for years. My question is should I have stopped cortisone immediately. I have also been taking lyrical for 12months.

any way cortisone is not the drug for your symptom or history. there should be investigation. now that you have started the drug then tapering is to be done. it can be PIVD myalgia or neuralgia.
