Suggest Treatment For Painful Sores In The Mouth

I have sores in my mouth,, never had this before, first one on tongue, second one inside upper right, third one under tongue, left side, they hurt, they are not small like a pimple are somewhat circular. The first one started about 10 days ago, I thought it was because I bit my tongue, the second one came about 6 days after and the third one is brand new and irritating.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that you have developed apthous ulcers in your mouth. The ulcers can develop due to number of reasons such as stress, stomach upset, vitamin B complex deficiency etc.

I would advise you to start Vitamin B complex supplements (B-Folcin) once a day for at least a month to prevent recurrence. In addition, you should apply local Benzocaine gel (Mucopain) over the ulcers 3-4 times day. If you apply this gel before meals, it will be easier for you to eat without having burning sensation or pain.

In addition, if you are leading a very stressful life, I would advise you to use some relaxation techniques. In addition, if you are suffering from constipation, use laxatives to heal ulcers faster. The ulcers typically take 7-10 days to heal. If they do not heal in that time period, I would advise you to visit a dentist for clinical examination of the ulcers and further investigations.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
