Suggest Treatment For Painful Subcutaneous Lump In The Calf
Hi, age 64, male. have developed mildly painful subcutaneous lump in left upper calf area. strenuous work in high heat. Prone to experience bad leg cramps after work. I try to stay hydrated, water and gator ade. Have also noticed another small lump on bottom of left foot. Is the calf lump serious to be treated and is there anything that may help the leg cramps, diet or other?
The symptoms that you describe are suggestive of local inflammation.
For this reason, I would recommend performing an ultrasound of the soft tissues in this region and inflammation tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
