Suggest Treatment For Painful Swelling After A Burr Got Stuck In Finger

I just got stuck by a small burr that you can barely see.. I got it out and it didn t bleed but my finger is swollen slightly and pink and it still hurts. It looks like it tried to bleed but built up and couldn t. I did neosporin and peroxide any other ideas?

It is bacterial infection and wound is looking swollen and red due to inflammation of the tissues.

If I was your treating physician I would have prescribed you with Cephalexin if not allergic to and of course a follow up after a week. Plus, take Ibuprofen by mouth. Keep the wound clean with Hydrogen peroxide OR Pyodine.

Take a plenty of water and keep a balanced healthy diet.
