Suggest Treatment For Painful Swelling In Arm And Shoulder After Injury
I lifted my bed base one of those ones with hydrological hinges and it fell on my arm, this was 3 weeks ago, I knew it wasn t broken so did not seek medical advice, however now my arm and shoulder are very painful as i aggravated it yesterday . I ve just been to the doctor and he said I ve thrashed the vein in my forearm, it s large and raised. The thing is I forget what it s called to inform my boss and took the day off to get it seen to. I ve been given ibuprofen gel and will heal . Regards Mary
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. May be it is a soft tissue injury ,blood leaked in to the surrounding muscles due to rupture of vein. Treatment is symptomatic ,veins will get repair itself. To decrease the swelling use and hot and cold compress each for 20 minutes alternately. Take a pain killer with combination of trypsin and chymotrypsin (Lyser-d/Chymoral twice daily) Keep the hand elevated. If it does not relieve get an x ray for any fracture of bone. Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions. Thank you.
