Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain and swelling in jaw is most commonly due to causes like tooth related infection leading to dental abscess formation while it can also be due to infection related to salivary gland depending on the location of swelling..

You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

As far as taking Tramadol is concerned you can take 100 mg in one time for severe pain but the maximum dose should not exceed 400 mg in a day that is 24 hours..
So take the painkiller accordingly..

But a complete resolution can occur only after a proper ruling out of the cause and treatment can be done accordingly..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
