Suggest Treatment For Painful Whitehead In Armpit
I have found a few whitehead in my arms pit that s hurt in the localized area. I thought they were pimples I popped them. I also looked for a in grown hair underneath it but I haven t seen a hair. I ve been using a heat compress and salicylic acid acne medication on it. I lift weights everyday and I can t just stop sweating or wearing deodorant. What do you think it is?

Hi,
These might be folliculitis. Try to keep the area as clean and dry as possible, apply antibiotic creams like mupirocin twice daily, and take analgesics like acetaminophen or ibuprofen 3 times a day for 3 days.
If not getting better by then, this probably will need oral antibiotic treatment. I used to give amoxyclav or cephalexin for 5 days. Your doctor will guide in this.
