Hi My mother is around 60 years of age. She was advised thyroxine 50 mcg by a general physician for her abnormal TSH. She took the medication for around 2 and half months when she started experiencing a fast heart rate, weakness and boredom. We consulted a endocrinologist who advised to stop thyroxine immediately and said that her condition ll improve within 4- 5 days. Slowly condition worsened and now she has a continuous headache with a feeling of fast heart rate. She also experiences nausea every now n then. Two days back we consulted a cardiologist who did eco and stress test and said that her heart is normal. He advised her prolomet xl 25 for her condition. Please advise if it is ok to take it in her condition.
