Suggest Treatment For Paranoid Behavior Of A Person When Around People
Hi There's this thing that happens pretty often. Whenever I'm in big crowds of people or just in class or something I would get really paranoid, feel like everyone's watching me, get light-headed, and what seems like hyperventilating. I honestly have no idea what's going on. Have any ideas?
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. The symptoms like feelings that everyone is watching you, symptoms of lightheadedness in crowds, breathlessness etc are really not the symptoms of paranoid behaviour. In my opinion these symptoms are related to some anxiety disorder and possibly social anxiety disorder. Fear of being judged, feelings that everyone is watching you, symptoms like hyperventilation, palpitations, light-headedness etc are classical symptoms of social anxiety. Please visit a psychiatrist for proper evaluation and help. In social anxiety provoking situations like in crowds medicines like Propranolol, Atenolol or even low dose benzodiazepines can help. For severe anxiety classical anti anxiety drugs like SSRIs are used. Please visit a doctor for prescription of these drugs.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
