General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is important to have an audiogram and a tympanogram to check the hearing and identify the potential cause of the hearing loss.
After the results, the doctor will know for sure which is the best treatment in your case. Sometimes, an ear lavage is all that is needed, in other cases, unfortunately, hearing aids are needed. You will need to follow the instructions of your doctor to help improve your hearing.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
