Suggest Treatment For Peptic Duodenitis And Infallible Bowel Syndrome

Hi I have Peptic Duodenitis and infallible bowel syndrome. I just been diagnosed after many weeks of vomiting, diarrhea and blood in the stool. I literally spend sometimes 5 1/2 hours in the bathroom everyday and symptoms started showing around my 17th birthday in August. I just had an endoscopy and colonoscopy on Tuesday and that is how I found out. Can you explain to me what this ailment is and if it is treatable? I would appreciate it if you were very detailed. Thank You

Hello.Thanks for putting your query in HCM. Peptic duodenitis means presence of inflammation in duodenum that is initial part of small intestine. It may be due to increased acid production or due to some infection or drug induced usually analgesic of NSAID class. Irritable bowel syndrome is commonly known as IBS. few things which are the most important to know are:
1. Is a chronic disease which has relapsing and remitting course
2. It will never harm you even if it will persist for whole life
3. Stress, life events, and anxiety leads to aggravation of symptoms
4. Intestine becomes hypersensitive so even discomfort is perceived as pain
5. Increase gas production leading to abdominal fullness and bloating
6. No alarming features like weight loss, gastrointestinal bleeding, or fever
