Suggest Treatment For Perimenopausal Symptoms

Good Afternoon, I am suffering with perimenopause symptoms such as hot flashes which is interfering with my sleep patterns...being a shift worker this is something that I dont welcome...I have been doing some reserch and rather than going onto HRT therapy I believe there are anti depressants that treat hot flahses such as Effexor or Venflafaxone....Would u please be able to give me some medical advice on this subject?

Yes, antidepressants are used to treat perimenopausal symptoms. Effexor is on of the preferred medication to treat this type of symptoms. Another possible treatment is through estrogen in the form of a pill.

Both medications are taken on prescription, so you should consult your doctor before the treatment.
