Suggest Treatment For Peripheral Neuropathy Causing Inflammation Of Toes And Fingers
Dear Dr. I am having a condition of peripheral neuropathy for past three years. This is not due to diabatic. Nerve conduction test was done and came out fine. I was told that I have some nerve being pinched and that is causing the burning sensation in the toes and fingers ( feet). It gets worst in the night. I have been taking Gabapantine as prescribed by the doctor. I have to take it every day. Please advise if there is anything else can be done to cure it. Thanking you in advance
I share your concerns. Gabapentin is right medicine for neuropathy. However I would like to suggest following if diagnosis is confirmed (pinched nerve) 1 physiotherapy will be very useful for you. However take guidance from an expert physiotherapist. 2 you can try yoga (an Indian traditional art for holistic health) 3 although it is not related to diabetes but take good care of your diabetes, it will be very beneficial. 4 improve your diet with more focus on vitamins and minerals
I hope my reply will help you. Please write to us for follow up queries. Kindly rate this reply. I wish you good health. Thanks
