Suggest Treatment For Peripheral Neuropathy Causing Inflammation Of Toes And Fingers

Dear Dr. I am having a condition of peripheral neuropathy for past three years. This is not due to diabatic. Nerve conduction test was done and came out fine. I was told that I have some nerve being pinched and that is causing the burning sensation in the toes and fingers ( feet). It gets worst in the night. I have been taking Gabapantine as prescribed by the doctor. I have to take it every day. Please advise if there is anything else can be done to cure it. Thanking you in advance

Dear, welcome to HCM thanks for choosing us.

I share your concerns. Gabapentin is right medicine for neuropathy. However I would like to suggest following if diagnosis is confirmed (pinched nerve)
1 physiotherapy will be very useful for you. However take guidance from an expert physiotherapist.
2 you can try yoga (an Indian traditional art for holistic health)
3 although it is not related to diabetes but take good care of your diabetes, it will be very beneficial.
4 improve your diet with more focus on vitamins and minerals

I hope my reply will help you. Please write to us for follow up queries. Kindly rate this reply. I wish you good health. Thanks
