Suggest Treatment For Persistent UTI Despite Taking Antibiotic Treatment

I have treated a UTI infection with 2 medications, Bactrim and cipro. Did help some but then I thought had yeast infection but still had some burning also and tested positive for strep. Took 10 days of 1700 mgs of Amoxicillin and yesterday went for recheck. Haven t heard from culture but my urine in office tested positive for a mild UTI. I have been scheduled for parathyroid surgery and can t have that surgery because I can t get rid of these infections. I have been seeing a nurse pract here in town because there are not great doctors her. What do you suggest??

thanks for posting your query to hcm .
UTI can be treated using correct antibiotics . I suggest you to send urine for culture and sensitivity examination .injudicious use of antibiotics without sensitivity report increases resistance in organism and make treatment difficult . dont be worried as after your report we can treat your UTI. I suggest you to collect urine only when you are not on antibiotics to get maximum growth of organism .
