Suggest Treatment For Persistent Abdominal Infection And Bloating

I am a patient of severe gastric trouble, bloating and also caught by infections every other day. At present also I am suffering with stomach infection for the last 10-12 days. Had lot of medicines but no relief. I have started with darolac capsules since yesterday and feeling relief. I want to know is it an antibiotic and for how long will I have to continue with this medicine ? Thanks !

Hello Dear. Darolac contains lactobacillus which will help in restoration of normal commensal bacteria in the gut which is useful to the gut. It is not an antibiotic. You can take it for a week and then stop it. For the problem of bloating abdomen you need to follow some tips

1. Do not eat spicy food
2. Take medications like pantop or omez which will bring down acidity
3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8am, small snack at 11am, lunch at 1pm, small snack at 4pm and dinner at 8pm
4. Drink plenty of water
5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea
6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis
7. Do regular exercise. Atleast half an hour per day
8. Learn meditation techniques
9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It is said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit
