Suggest Treatment For Persistent And Severe Lower Back Pain
It s 4am and I m suffering debilitating lower back pain for about a week. It s worse when I first get up in the morning, eases up some during the day (I ve been able to make it in to work - a sedentary job) and is bad at night too. I ve switched beds, taken pain killers, tried yoga positions, sat extensively with back massagers. Nothing works. Also, I ve had very soft stools for at least a week and I wonder if this could be some sort of infection and not muscle pain.
If the back ache is due to infection, it would have been persistent hence the changing severity of pain in the low back indicates a local cause. Yes, soft stools at the same time can be related as colitis and such problems can cause back ache. Many a times too much of different treatments for a single problem can cause more pain; a bad massage for example can actually amplify problems as well as the wrongly done Yoga. Hence take only medications like anti-inflammatory and pain killer properties. Apply Rubefacient liniments. Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon as the pain has persisted for a long time. Get the stool tests and get appropriate medications if the test shown anything positive.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
