Suggest Treatment For Persistent Bronchitis And Post Nasal Drip

I have been fighting bronchitis for about a week, including minor post nasal drip. Have been taking a Zak pack for 2 days and all of a sudden i started feeling like something is lodged in the upper part of my throat causing my gag reflex to go crazy leading to intense dry heaving for 4-5 minutes every 10-20 minutes, been going on for about 4 hours now. Have tried hot tea, eating dry bread, etc. to loosen or break loose what ever is causing the issue. I didn t swallow any foreign objects and haven t eaten for 3-4 hours before this started. Should i go to the ER?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Possibly it can be an allergic reaction to the drugs you were taking. You better go to the ER for epinephrine and prednisone injections. Also, take Cetirizine for some days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
