Suggest Treatment For Persistent Burning Pain In The Right Shoulder

For 6 weeks I have had either a numbness from one shoulder blade to the other or a more than moderate burning pain in my right shoulder to my right elbow. I have iced, used heat, and immobilized. It has only gotten worse. Twice the pain and numbness subsided for almost a day. Only to return will a vengance. Any insight would be great. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Persistent pain in the right arm & shoulder is commonly due to cervical radiculopathy, blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle, slipped disc or neuropathy.

You are suggested to visit a GP & get clinically examined. Get Blood & Imaging tests done. Your treatment will depend on the severity of the pathology detected.

You may take NSAIDS, Naproxen or Combiflam, one sos when needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
