Suggest Treatment For Persistent Chest Congestion In A Toddler

Hi my daughter is 2 years 8 months she is having severe chest congestion she was antibiotics a week back with ascoril syrup before that mucoloite syrup and sinarest AF now the problem has reoccurred after a week doctor has advised us nebulization with asthalin and budocort. We gave asthalin to her in past but the problem has reoccurred should we give her some antibiotics as well bcos she has fever also. Does asthalin and budocort helps to clear congestion or we have to take antibiotics to clear the congestion ?

Hello,

It may be due to Lower respiratory tract infection.

For further assessment, you may require complete hemogram, chest X-Ray after pediatrician consultation.

You may require antibiotics after consultation.

Along with that continue nebulization. Keep him hydrated.
