Suggest Treatment For Persistent Chest Pain And Cough

Hello, I have gone to the emergency room three times and i am again considering going back. I have lyme disease. I had a picc line in left arm. I had my teeth cleaned on thurday of last week [mistake] that night i began having irregular heart beat.On Friday I started Vancomycin 500MG per 100 ML every twelve hours. By saturday night it was worse , i was having chest pain and my skin around my Picc was infected. They pulled out the picc line. They put in a peripheral line they said any infection would clear up from Vanc. Monday is the arm was much worse, diagnosed with cellulitis. I also seems to have caught a virus and developed a cough and mucus.i was then put on 500 mg of Cephlaxin twice a day as well. On wednesday i had a new picc . put in other arm. My ecg shows an irregular back flow on Saturday night. but no enzymes for heart attack . I am now still having irregular heart beat, racing and feel it in my stomach and ears, chest pain, cough . my heart racing is driving me crazy and i am afraid they missed something because the dr s in Er were very distracted by my Lyme diagnosis and vancomycin treatment that i feel like they didn t really listen to me.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult a physician and get evaluated.

Do a chest X-ray for further evaluation.

Most probably the symptoms will settle with timely antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
