Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my problem is chest pain and sob which makes me gasp for more air . Breath returns back to norm if I lay down but the pain is there even in the middle of the nights. and I hear a flap sound in the heart area and it feels as a small ball rolling inside my heart . It used to be rear episodes , cardiologist said Ekg and sono are normal
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, EKG alone may not rule out the possibility of cardiac disease and to rule out the cardiac disease it is most advisable to get done the ECHO, Stress cardiograph, and some time may need coronary angiography too, in differential diagnosis it may be allergic condition causing the breathing difficulty and chest pain it may be due to functional disorder hope this information helps.
