Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough After Treated Fever
Hiya, I ve had a cough for the last two months or so. It started one day in work and I had to go home early. I spent three days off work with a heavy cough, fever and generally unable to stand for every long or be active. When the other syptoms faded I thought it was ok but the cough has continued.
As per your query you have symptoms of persistent cough after treated fever which seems to be due to severe upper respiratory tract infection and impaired immune system. I would suggest you to start with proper course of antibiotics along with anti-inflammatory medications for 5 days.
You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods. For now do warm saline rinses and take rest. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without any delay. Doctor may order blood test and throat swab test and will start treatment accordingly. Avoid giving cold beverages.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
