Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough And Fatigue

I have had a persistent cough for over a month now with wheezing late at night and early morning. I get tired at around 3 o clock in the afternoon and just want to sleep. I thought it might just be allergies, but it just doesn t go away. What are your thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Cough and wheezing are usually related to an allergy. I suggest to do an X-ray for further evaluation. Meanwhile,I suggest using antihistamines such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily. I also suggest to use a cough suppressant such as Dexometorphan as a syrup for cough relieve.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
