Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough In A Child While On Diethylcarbamazine
My 3 years old daughter is prescribed with amoxycillin 200 mg and antitussive chlorpheniramine maleate and codeine since 2 days. I am not seeing positive difference in her coughing. When she is asleep she is perfectly fine but as soon as she wake up she starts dry coughing constantly. Today doc prescribed another medicine diethylcarbamazine. I am worried a lot about her. What to do ?

It is not related to DEC. If symptoms persists better to consult a pediatrician and start a short course of antibiotics empirically.
