Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough While On Zyrtec-D

I have a cough that I have had for years. It seems to come from excess mucus because you can feel that the cough is trying to bring something up. I have been taking Zyrtec D for a while now, and it does help, but it doesn t get rid of the cough. What should I do?

Hello,

You have to use expectorant rather than decongestants.

Use bronchodilators with antibiotics.

Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
