Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough With Choking In A Child

My 2 weeks old has been coughing and having lots of thick bubbly saliva in her mouth and seems to be chocking on it when she is either in a sitting up position or laying flat on her back. I m worried she will choke while sleeping, or inhale fluid. What could this be and what can I do to avoid chocking? I m not sure if she is getting the cold my 3 year old has right now or if it s something else. Thank you.

This is unusual and serious symptoms for some child of this age. It may indicate some specific tracheal and esophageal anoalies and baby should be trabsfered to hospital and tests must be done to see what is going on. treatment can be started after right cause is established.
