Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has had a persistent cough for a week. Her MD thought it was allergies and we have been giving her Claritin and went on vacation to the ocean and she has had no change. Today I noticed a rash on her back and chest. She had not had a fever
I agree with your doctor that the symptoms can be related to an allergy. I suggest using Claritin as prescribed by your doctor. I also suggest using a Hydrocortisone cream for local application.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
