Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fever And Increased TLC Count

Hi ,DR. Andrew , I am vinod , I was having fever . After passing 3 days of fever Doctor advised me for CBC Test , in report TLC observed 10750.Doctor prescribed 2 days fever medicine and other antibiotic medicine for 5 Days . But my Fever is continued ever taking medicine .Again I visited to doctor and he advised me for typhoid and TLC test . My typoid report negative and TLC count increased 12080.Doctor Prescribed Antibiotic and fever medicine I can take when I have fever . Now My fever is still continue , when I don,t take medicine for fever , fever continue , If i Take for 3 times in a days than no fever . CAn u advised is this fever is because of TLC increase or any other Reason.

Thank you for posting your query. let me explain you about total leukocyte count (TLC) before giving advise about fever.TLC increases when there is some infection in the body.leukocytes are white blood cells which protect the body from any kind of infection. during infections these cells count increases depending upon the severity of the infection. the normal range of these cells is 4000 to 14,000 / cu mm
your TLC count is suggestive of infection. in any kind of infection fever common symptom. as long as the infection persists fever will be there. so i would suggest you to take antibiotics and medicine for fever as prescribed by your doctor. i also advice you take cold sponging when you have high fever along with medicine.
