Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fever And Vomiting In A Child
I have an 8 year old daughter the second week of February she had a fever of 101-103 for 5 days with vomiting her dr said nothing was wrong since Saturday she has had the same type of symptoms along with back and head pain she went to the dr today and they said nothing is wrong again other than having tubes put in her ears for infections when she was 3 she has been a healthy child just trying to see if I should get a 2 nd opinion
Your 8 year old daughter presented with high grade fever, vomiting and back and neck pain. The following are some probable causes: 1) Typhoid 2) Meningitis 3) Viral gastroenteritis 4) Urinary tract infections 5) Severe flu
Please check for any rash all over the body. If rash is present chicken pox and measles are to be ruled out. In my opinion, you need to go to another child specialist and get your daughter examined thoroughly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
