Hello,

I had gone through your question and understand your concern. You have mentioned that your child had a fever yesterday, and he still has today.

There are many causes of fever in children, and the most common causes at this age are viral illnesses or fever caused by the process of tooth eruption.

In these cases, fever in a child may continue for some days. Antibiotic doesn't cure fever, it helps children's body to fight bacterial infection, and you have to continue it for 5-7 days to have an effect. (Even though based on the fact that your child has only one day with fever and no other symptoms, I don't think antibiotic is useful.)

I also don't read any signs of typhoid fever (body rash, diarrhea, swollen belly) and there is no reason for you to think about it.
-I suggest you to continue giving your child Combifalm syrup if he has a fever, for two more days if he has a fever.
- You have to feed him normally, give him plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration, also apply cold compresses to help temperature decrease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
