Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fever In A Child

my, just turned 3, daughter keeps crying and whining when we try to pick her up with hands around her chest. she has been running a fever off and on for 3 days. she plays normally during day for a while and then just cries. she is normally a very happy child. Not a whiner. (I have one of those too so i do know the difference) I tried to pinpoint a location and ask her where it hurts but she doesn t say.

Approach Considerations
Diagnostic studies in infants and toddlers with fever are based on their age groups. Febrile neonates generally require a full sepsis workup.
A full sepsis evaluation is recommended in all febrile neonates. This includes a complete blood cell (CBC) count, blood culture, urinalysis, urine culture, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis and culture. These patients should be hospitalized with intravenous antibiotics pending results of these cultures. after that we can start her with medication.

i hope it will help you and your baby :)
