Hi You are welcome to HCM At his age, febrile seizures are common.Anything that may raise a child's temperature at his age may cause siezure. Possible causes may include bacteria infection, malaria infection.Other possible causes of seizures may include: metabolic/ionic imbalances like low glucose, calcium, magnesiun, sodium. Blood tests for infection and serum electrolytes test may help to identify the exact cause of his problem.I will advise -Hospitalization -healthy eating and enough rest. -Anti-pyretics -Anti-seizure to prevent recurrence. -And an etiologic management depending on test results Hope my answer will help you Wish your grand son a quick recovery
