Suggest Treatment For Persistent Hair Loss, Muscle Weakness And Weight Gain
I have been prescribed Levothyroxine for hypothyroidism (mild) and have been on it for about 2 months. The first couple of weeks I felt more energetic, lost a few pounds. After two weeks, however, my symptoms have returned, tiredness, feeling cold, depressed as well as some new symptoms such as hair loss, muscle weakness, bleeding gums and weight gain. My doctor says TSH levels are good. Should I look into changing my medication or discontinuing it?
These are the signs of hypothyroidism. No way you can stop drug or change it. You need to increase the dose or see if the tables you are taking are expired and are not effective.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Olgeta Xhufka
