hi, my son is suffering with fever since 15/08 , temparature is varying between 100 to 105, doctor suggested moxikind cv 625 antibiotic with other fever tablets. fever is not controlled. to day morning also he had 102 temparture. CBP report is normal. My question now is is moxikind cv 625 is ok for viral fever or need to change medicine? kindly suggest me
Fever is a symptom of an underlying disease. There are many causes of fever such as malaria, typhoid, infectious mononucleosis, TB, Dengue etc. Advice 1. Stop Moxikind CV 625 2. Cefixime 100 mg every 12 hours per oral for 5 days 3. Paracetamol 500 mg per oral if fever occurs 4. Cold water sponging if fever is more than 100 degree Farenheight 5. Investigations – CBC, ESR, Widal test, blood smear for malaria parasite, and dengue NS1 antigen Go to hospital if fever does not come down with above measures. Thanks
