Suggest Treatment For Persistent High Fever

Hi yes please advice I am a bit nervous Waiting for results of culture work done on prepatelar bursitis. Woke up with it yesterday out of blue, ran a high fever, chills etc., fever broke in the night, I was soaked. Today going to Dr. for first time I had no more fever, she took tests etc and will get back to on results and if I need antibiotics etc.. I am running a fever again in past hour 102.8 right now. Should I be alarmed? Or take some ibuprofen?

Hello, If fever is present you may take paracetamol tablets 3 to 4 times a day. Probably better than Ibuprofen. But for taking any antibitic it is better to wait for culture sensitivity report. Plus keep well hydrated. take a good quantity of ORS, to compensate for excess sweating. Thanks
